Mission Council

Property Committee | Financial Management Committee | Personnel Committee | Executive Committee

Mission Council is responsible for the coordination of presbytery's mission and program. The council includes representatives of the six Ministry Teams, Presbyterian Women, the officers of presbytery, and six at-large members. Council meets quarterly about a month before presbytery stated meetings, and at other times when necessary.

Council Committees

Property Committee
The Property Committee reviews and recommends to the Council (acting as the Trustees of the Presbytery) actions related to church real estate, and manages the Presbytery Center. Rev. Paul Reiter is staff to the Property Committee.

If your session desires to lease church property the session should secure permission from presbytery and negotiate the lease. In any case, the following stipulations apply:
1. If the property to be leased is that used for the purposes of worship, approval of the presbytery and written permission of presbytery is required.
2. If any property is to be leased for more than five (5) years, approval of presbytery and written permission is required. (G-8.0502)

Financial Management Committee
The Financial Management Committee administers and makes recommendations to Council regarding the presbytery budget and revolving loan fund consistent with the presbytery's policies, strategic vision and goals under the supervision of the Council. Faye Chiou is staff to the Financial Management Committee.

Personnel and Office Management
The Personnel Committee, in cooperation with the Executive Presbyter, makes recommendations to Council regarding the presbytery's personnel and staffing needs, administers the presbytery's personnel policies and evaluates the presbytery staff performance in order to realize the presbytery's strategic vision.
Paul Reiter is staff to the Personnel and Office Management Committee.
