Property Committee
>> Permission to Lease or Rent church property.
If your church desires to rent or lease its property it should take such action in a session meeting. The session may be required to secure permission from presbytery before negotiating the rental agreement or lease.
The following stipulations apply:
1. If the property to be rented or leased is that used for the purposes of worship, approval of the presbytery and written permission is required.
2. If any property is to be leased for more than five (5) years, approval of presbytery and written permission is required. (G-8.0502)
