  •  Choral Section Leader at Westminster Presbyterian Church (St. Louis) is seeking a versatile soprano to serve as a Choral Section Leader.     • Section Leaders are expected to: act as a leader in the choir, giving volunteer singers confidence and security in the music; learn all repertoire before rehearsals; lead sectional rehearsals as needed perform solo or small ensemble works as needed; participate in all rehearsals and worship services, including Christmas Eve, Easter morning, and the evenings of Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday
    • This position supports our primary choir, the Westminster Singers, which is a very small group. The ability to be present at rehearsals and on Sunday mornings for worship is crucial. In the event that a section leader should need to miss a call, advance permission should be obtained from the conductor and the section leader is asked to find a qualified substitute for that call. Currently our Sunday morning worship begins at 11:00 a.m. and runs for about 60-70 minutes, with a call time for the choir at approximately 10:30 a.m. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. (sometimes a bit later in the weeks approaching Christmas and Easter).
